SilverMaple is a residential assisted living home for no more than 12 residents. Each shift has at least two caregivers, so no caregiver looks after more than six residents at a time. In a home this size, our care team knows each resident’s routine, such as when they like to wake up, what they eat at breakfast, and which chair they choose in the living room. Knowing those routines helps our caregivers notice small changes early, like a slower walk to the table or a skipped favorite show.

- Housekeeping and Laundry: Regular housekeeping and laundry keep each resident’s room clean and comfortable, with their own things where they like them.
- Transportation Services: We arrange transportation for medical appointments, errands, and social outings.
- Daily Activities: Residents can choose from music, games, stretching and exercise, meditation, and walks in the home’s outdoor space.

What does a day at SilverMaple look like?
A day at SilverMaple follows your beloved’s own pace. Mornings can start with a walk outside and breakfast made in our kitchen. In the afternoon, there might be music, games, stretching or a quiet hour in the living room, and each week has salon days and Meditation Mondays. Our caregivers help with bathing, dressing and medications at the times your beloved needs that help.
When is SilverMaple not the right fit?
SilverMaple is not the right fit for everyone. A small home does not have what a large senior living campus in Fulshear, TX, might have, such as several dining rooms, a gym or a full events calendar. An older adult who wants a large social circle may be happier in a bigger community. An older adult who needs ongoing skilled nursing, such as daily wound care, usually needs a nursing home rather than assisted living. SilverMaple does not offer memory care. Who runs SilverMaple?
SilverMaple is run by our two founders. Lea Rodriguez, PT, DPT, Founder/Managing Member, is a licensed physical therapist with more than 30 years of experience and a former rehab director at Brookdale Senior Living in Houston. In that role she saw how hard it can be for families to find the right place for an older adult to live. That led her to co-author the upcoming book Why Senior Housing Matters. Carmina Del Fonso, Founder/Managing Member, holds an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and spent more than 25 years leading global supply chain programs.
